Mentorship in Digital Media
Our program provides hands-on training and mentorship in:
- Journalism & storytelling
- Video production & editing
- Camera operations & lighting
- Live event coverage
- Podcasting & broadcasting

- On-air hosting & interviewing techniques
Young participants are paired with seasoned professionals, including award-winning producers, editors, journalists, and content creators. They receive one-on-one coaching and personalized feedback to build confidence, refine technical skills, and discover their unique voice in media.

Internship Opportunities
We proudly offer internships that allow youth to experience the behind-the-scenes of a working media platform—from live event production and press coverage to editing for Roku TV and online programming. Interns also have the opportunity to:
- Attend and cover major events such as the African Achievement Awards, Juneteenth Celebrations, and Candidates Forums
- Learn newsroom operations and content scheduling
- Shadow professional anchors and field reporters
- Gain byline credit for published articles and video features
These internships serve as a launchpad for future careers, helping youth build portfolios, earn community service hours, and network with professionals.
